ABOUT ROBYN

Robyn is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, movement director, and teacher from the Midlands. She works across theatre, film, circus, and dance.

She was a recipient of the 2023 Next Generation Award, is the current Tipperary Dance Associate Artist and was the National Dance Residency Partnership artist for 2022.

Robyn is currently working on a new show for stage Queen of the Meadows, which had a work in progress sharing as part of Dubin Dance Festival 2022 and at Tanztendenz Munch in 2023 The work has been kindly supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, National Dance Residency Partnership, Westmeath County Council, field:arts and Shawbrook Dance.

Past works include "O before I” (film), which screened at festivals such as Leeds International Film Festival 2021, Fastnet Film Fest 2021, and Dance Lens Melbourne 2023. “Glimmer”( Dance Installation) for Live Collision International Arts Festival 2022. She choreographed "MOSH”( stage show) directed by Rachel Ní Bhraonáin, for the Dublin Fringe Festival 2023, winning the Best Ensemble Award.

This year Robyn began expanding her practice into movement direction working on “Gammy” by Kate Finnegan and “Wide Open” by Joe Murphy. Commercially Robyn has also worked as a movement director for Showcase Ireland (2023 & 2024) and with Not Another Agency.

Robyn’s performance credits include; Emma Martin/United Fall, Junk Ensemble, Irish National Opera, Company Philip Connaughton, Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company, Red Bear Productions. Commercial credits include Irish Tatler, Lifestyle Sports Christmas campaign, Showcase Ireland, RTÉ, Body & Soul, Dermot Kennedy, and Laura Jansen (NL).
